Here at Schools Alert we have developed a fantastic app that provides parents with the necessary reassurance they need for their child to commute from home to school and back safely. Schools Alert is a child monitoring app which lets you see that your child has safely reached school or safely returned home at the end of the school day. If you're a working parent and cannot be there to see them off or collect them from the school gates, then the Schools Alert app is one way to feel assured of your child's wellbeing. In addition, parents have the option to schedule visits for their children, visits at any time of the day including weekends. This feature allows parents to set-up visits to friends, shopping or simply going to visit their grandparents. The visit function allows unlimited visits for the child all year!
We have also introduced a tethering tool within the app that the parents can use, it works by the parent inputting a maximum distance a child can be away from their parent, if the child breaches that distance the parent gets an alert. Going to a shopping complex can now be straight forward without the parent having the child shop along! This feature is also useful if the child is just going down the road to a mates house, input the maximum distance a child should be away from the parent and sit back and relax, our advanced geo-location software will do the rest.

The Schools Alert app is beautiful for its simplicity. Parent and child both download the app to their Android or iOS operated smartphone, and the two accounts are linked by the parents using their child's mobile number. The app will then pull down all the information their parent has entered. The child will only be able to see two things - their profile name, schedule for the day, and a chat function which puts them in direct contact with one or more of their parents. The primary parent can also invite the second parent or guardian.
Parents, on the other hand, don't get bombarded with constant alerts for their children. An alert is only generated if the child misses a pre-set schedule time to home or school. Parents are able to input term dates and defined time periods when their child should reach school and arrive home, meaning children aren't monitored at evenings, weekends or out of term time unless a parent uses the visit or tethering tools. A live child update can tell them at a glance where their children are, feeding back time-stamped information and real time alerts when there has been a breach of their schedule during school time.
The Schools Alert app is available on both Android and iOS operated devices. When you download the app, you will have multiple options to choose from, for parents that want a monthly subscription plan for their child, we are also offering a one-year subscription to the service which is paid for at the point of download. At the end of that period, you can choose to renew it.
Once you and your child have downloaded the app to your smartphones, your child’s phone can be linked to yours through their mobile number. You will then be able to set things such as term dates and the time parameters within which you expect your child to arrive at school or back home. As parents, you will also have the ability to set the geo-location of your home/school or any other place your child will visit, these will then be stored for convenience.
