Yes – you can add multiple children to the app provided they are children you are responsible for, you will need parental consent and authorisation to do so.

Register first, then add your child, add places (school, home, friends house etc ) you can also add a second parent, you can do this by going to the family page and following the instructions. Subscription is needed to unlock the functionality of the Schools Alert App.

We have made it easier for you to manage child subscription, we are offering a monthly subscription in addition to multiple bundles so that you have a choice to decide which one best fits your needs.

You can change your phone/email, please remember that if you change your number or email you will need to go through the verification process again. This process also applies to if you change the phone number for your child.

All of our Schools Alert App functionality is 24 hours and available and on weekends, and the best bit is you get to manage this for your child.

We have limited the amount of notifications you will get, the app will only send you school notifications if there has been a breach in the child's school day. Notifications for visits will come in to your phone when you set up a visit, and the same goes for our tethering tool for your child.

Yes – you can add one parent to your app – we have limited the number of parents and guardians to ensure we keep the app valid and secure. 2 parents can sign up to the app. There are no limits on the number on children you can subscribe for.

The chat function operates by allowing you to have a 3 way communication between your child and the 2nd parent. Our chat function has been designed to work independently for all children.

Yes, visits are a service we offer to all subscribers, there is no limit on the amount of child visits per day. Once a visit has been successfully completed, please delete that visit before setting up a new visit for that child.

There is also a function for tethering your child's phone to parents. This functions allows you to set a distance in meters that you child cannot exceed, if this happens you will be alerted. An example of this will be if you know that your child is going to visit a friend who lives around 300 meters from your home, you can set the tethering for 400 meters and assign a time to the value, if your child exceeds 400 meters you will get alerted, if not, then you won’t receive any notification. You can also check their location on the map within the Schools Alert app.

Please ensure that the battery power is above 20% for your child's phone and location services are turned on for both parent and child. Some devices will need to be updated to the latest software. When you download the app it will prompt you for access to location services.

We cannot control the cellular coverage on the child's mobile phone, we have minimised the location jumps and the accuracy of the location of your child is excellent, however, we cannot control mobile coverage and mobile phone setups and their functionality, you may experience location jumps but in our testing we have managed to deploy a unique functionality that limits location jumps to less than 1%.

Check list for app to operate at its optimum

  • Locations services are turned on, it is recommended to have Wi-Fi turned on the child's phone to increase location pickup, not necessary to connect to any Wi-Fi network

  • Phone is up to date with the latest software

  • Geo-location and sometimes referred to as (Geo-fencing) is set for the child's home and school

  • Term is set along with home out, school in, school out and home in (Schedule)

  • Phone number is accurate

  • Please ensure the child opens the Schools Alert App and leaves it running in the background (otherwise the App will not function properly) we have used very detailed software that limits draining the battery on the child's phone.

  • Please ensure that you have not accidently made a school day into a non-school day; you can check this in the child's schedule

  • Have a valid phone number and email – this will progress your registration process, please have a valid phone number and email, both will need verifying to complete the registration process

  • The app notification works either over cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity, please ensure your child has data available for the geo-location to work and notifications to be sent to you in real-time, the same applies for tracking your child.
